My mom lives Carrington watch you get nice fish all the time but I spend 3 days looking and two days of getting fish I see In the comments about out of state hunts don't like but are state puts out state tags then in state hunters here are tied of put in for tags and out of state people get I have live in mt 42 years I have killed 10 bulls they where gen tags so it is what you put into it but there's so many lakes back there where I grew up that's full of walleye so I will still come chase walleyes a round and OK by me if you shoot a nice mulley I don't have a big buck yet but I think a big mule deer is 200 in I have bucks like you boys killed my freind I hunt with has 2 that big I have never been right place right time but I do have a 15.10 walleye

I find the geese finish much easier and closer with fullbody spreads.I hunt small population of Great Basin Honkers and generally our total flocks in 3 valleys we hunt are only between 300 to 1000and mostly residents.

    Growing up around Benson, Towner, and Ramsey counties we were blessed with some of the best waterfowl hunting opportunities. I have fond memories of getting up before school and getting my limit on the first couple of waves coming off Lake Irvine or Stink Lake. You just needed to know the right fence lines to sit in as close as possible to the lake and you would get them coming off the lake right on the deck.

    As a Montana resident, I'm not gonna hate like everyone else is. My only thing is I wish y'all would've explained the block management area a bit better. And not calling it private with public access can be misleading to someone who's never dealt with a system such as ours. Y'all did a good job finding the right buck and hitting hard. Nicely done. Wish my season would've been more successful. I saw maybe 20 deer in total while y'all found a sweet spot

      Agreed. This season was rough. We saw 10 out of state plates for every 2 Montana plates we saw. So discouraging when our areas are being bombarded by out of state hunters coming here looking for a trophy animal. We hunt to feed our family. Hard season this year with so many people coming here.

      I've hunted there for over 40 years im not happy that montana gives a large number of non residents tags to guides.That means we pay for national forest lands and we don't get tags .my sons hunt there when they were 14 years old with me now u need to be rich to hunt ,no good for future hunters.Lobbying should not be accepted in America for any reason , not just hunting it mean he who has the gold rules. Please stop advertising our block management as “public” land. We are losing it almost fast as it is enrolled due to ignorance. There are 2 types of BMA. I can’t tell you how many ranchers/farmers that I know that are pulling out because they are tired of non residents just accessing the land without permission. I welcome all hunters, but please start doing your part by educating your viewers.

    • @maddawgnoll
      @maddawgnoll 7 месяцев назад

      They needed to cover and explain the block management system better. First off, calling it public is totally incorrect. It's all privately owned land with public access, limited in some areas. Sign in sheets at some. Even the roads that you can take a vehicle on will have rules that need to be known such as no atv/utv access but you can drive in your truck.

    I live, eat, breathe and shit hunting in Montana and this is either a prescouted hunt or these fat guys are the luckiest guys ever. 20 years ago it was just like this. Mature bucks everywhere. I just talked to a biologist that said mule deer numbers are down 70%. And to tell you the truth, that is a mediocre buck. Why does everyone think that's a trophy buck? It's not even close.

    • @passionforthehunt3493
      @passionforthehunt3493 7 месяцев назад

      Not sure what the purpose of your post is. We were really happy with the deer and had a great time hunting. We are also happy for other hunters when they have success or find enjoyment in the outdoors. We also heard deer numbers are down. Whether deer numbers are high or low doesn’t matter to us. We just love being out there doing it and if we see some deer… makes the day that much better. We saw 20 or do deer some days and maybe a dozen other days. I have since been back out to Montana and just slept in my truck and hunted 2-3 days when I could sneak over. Seen some great deer that gave me the slip. Passed on a few fair deer that I didn’t want to pack out where I was standing and had a great time. We are fat and lucky but always living our best life.

      If it’s not a trophy buck, then why are you so upset they killed it. Your statement is contradictory. You’re probably one of the clowns ruining it.

    • @maddawgnoll
      @maddawgnoll 7 месяцев назад

      Jealous? Who cares if the deer is prescouted or not. Maybe they just hit the right place at the right time. That's known to happen. Any buck is a nice buck, and a trophy is subjective. I might find a smaller rack that i hunted hard for with good company to be more of a trophy than a 180" stud that doesn't have the memories of comradory. Not that I wouldn't consider it a trophy, but may not be the one that I get excited to talk about.

      @@nt3523 Dude I live in Montana too. Western Montana though, so it's a bit different on what deer you see, how many, and whether the genetics are even there to produce larger animals. And that's not a baby, he's just not a giant. Probably 4½ years old. Deep forks, y'all g2s, ya he's a good buck. Just because you think you're God's gift to hunting deer doesn't make it true for everyone. And if you're successful that's awesome for you. Don't let anyone know where you go, or how to hunt them so they can be "not shooting babies" or don't share the inflammation and let them shoot "babies". Keep passing on them bucks, that's great. Nothing wrong with it but don't hate in others because they work for it and it's not the one you would go for.

    Same kinda Country we hunt in southeast Alberta. One thing we’ve noticed hunting them is that a lot of the time when you bump a herd the bucks will ditch the does and use a different escape route. The bigger the buck the more likely they are to do it.

  • @foxxxy51
    @foxxxy51 7 месяцев назад

    BMA or block management is not public land. Its private land where the land owner is providing access to hunters by either type one hunter signs in on their own or type two where you have to get access by the land owere or fwp. Either one by filling out the BMA slip, you are signing an agreement to follow a set of rules. I'm glad you got a buck. It looked nice.
